By Gopal Krishna Goswami.
Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Jasomatinandana Prabhu, Prabhupada’s initiated disciple passed away at approximately 5 PM IST today, Saturday the 24th of October, 2020. As most of you know, he had not been keeping good health for the last few years. He had been infected with Covid-19 nearly two weeks back and had been admitted to the hospital in Ahmedabad. Jasomatinandana Prabhu who joined ISKCON in America was instructed by Srila Prabhupada to go to India and develop Krishna Consciousness in Gujarat.
He was the non-GBC Regional Secretary for Gujarat and a member of the ISKCON Bureau. He had supervised the translation of almost all of Srila Prabhupada’s books into Gujarati. Under his supervision, Krishna Consciousness had spread throughout Gujarat; over 15 temples were opened. He was also committed to book distribution. We are sure that Srila Prabhupada will be pleased with all his services for the last nearly 50 years. The above is just a brief update and a more detailed report will follow.
Your servant Gopal Krishna Goswami

The following is a statement from Communications Minister HG Anuttama das:
Dear Vaishnavas,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear Godbrother Jasomatinandana Prabhu. He has been a pillar of ISKCON and an important leader of our India yatra for decades.
Last year I spent time in Ahmedabad with Jasomatinandana where I marveled at his accomplishments. And, I participated with him and many local dignitaries in an event renaming the street in front of the temple after Srila Prabhupada. Despite his ailments and weakened condition, Jasomatinandana Prabhu was always jolly and only talking of Srila Prabhupada.
Over the years, whenever I visit the Juhu Temple I always stop by the photo displayed in the guestroom hallway of Jasomatinandan Prabhu and Srila Prabhupada. While looking at the two of them, I think about how dedicated Jaso Prabhu is to Srila Prabhupada and how much Srila Prabhupada must love him.
I pray that Prabhupada now gives Jasomatinandana Prabhu his complete shelter and that Jaso may reach the highest abode to be again engaged in the Lord’s eternal lila.
Your servant,
Anuttama dasa
Minister of Communications
Our community collectively prays for His Grace Josomatinandan Prabhu and request all to kindly pray for him so that he attains the lotus feet of Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara.
Kishori Jani: Our father, Jashomatinandan Das is almost in his last moments. He had another heart attack early this morning which stopped his heart. He’s now on the ventilator, on full life support, losing the fight against Covid and with this body.
He’s given his life to Sri #Krishna and #SrilaPrabhupada and we are sure They will welcome him back with open arms! And so we must bear the loss here.. I just can’t imagine life or our family without him. He gave the family life and strength simply by his powerful presence as he did to the entire ISKCON Gujarat Yatra.
Please Pray for a miracle or his smooth transition and that we can honor him in his last moments.
