We teach the Bhagavad-gita to Children

We teach the Bhagavad-gita to Children

India is on the ascendency on several fronts today, be it in Worldwide Recognition as a growing Superpower, in Sports, in Learning, in Digital spaces and a host of other areas.

However, one area that we are lagging is in terms of understanding, learning, and imbibing our ancient and brilliant culture. The Colonial and other influences that have long plagued us need to be not only marginalised, but also destroyed! We genuinely believe that incorporating these facets from our timeless and proven scriptures will provide a greater depth and sustainability to all our other achievements. We aspire to spawn a generation of Indians who are appreciative of our Indian Culture and are also mature enough to incorporate these tenets properly in their lives.

Krishna’s Kingdom: This is a weekly program conducted every Sunday and is meant for children (boys and girls) between the ages of 5 and 12 years. We recognise only too well that these children are at a very tender age, yet ripe to imbibe core values that will stand them and society in good stead through their lives.

The focus here is to provide children with

  • sound Value Systems such as Integrity, Gratitude, Honesty, Resilience, Respect etc.,
  • inculcating Habits that would be beneficial for them as well as society and
  • an entry level introduction to the importance and pre-eminence of our scriptures.
  • we also regale them with a plethora of Cultural Activities such as Dramas, Spiritual Games, Meditation techniques, Worship etc.

Children coming out of this program may be expected to be highly cultured, progressive, optimistic and dynamic in their outlook towards all aspects of life. They will also be less prone to falling prey to the modern traps of Social Media, Mobile phones etc.
